As a previous Career Adviser the one thing that I found frustrating was resumes. Resume writing is one of those love hate relationships. On the one hand, you want to write about your work experience and educational accomplishments but on the other hand how the heck do you present it in a manner that makes sense to someone who really doesn't want to really read thousands of resumes? A professional resume writing service such as cbResume can offer a lot of help in terms of making this task easier. The reason being is that cbResume writing service is knowledgeable of the current trends in terms of what employers are looking for. In addition, their writer may not know about your particular field of expertise, but does know how to research it, and create a coherent and well written resume on your behalf. This is usually one of the hardest tasks in terms of writing your own resume. Another annoying task with writing your resume is looking over the same information and because you are so familiar with what you wrote, you may over look grammatical errors or even simple spelling mistakes. A professional resume writing service such as cbResume can review your resume, point out the things that you may need to change. After so many re-writes you may not want to start over from scratch so having this other source do that for you is definitely a convenience. Although hiring a resume writing service can cost you money, having someone work with any professional level is a big help. The packages at cbResume are for all employment levels, and a you are able to work with a dedicated resume writer to get a resume tailored to your work experience. If you choose to write your resume, one of the best things you can do is walk away from your resume for a while to rest your mind and look it over again with some clarity. Although resumes are supposed to list career accomplishments, a big concern to many applicants is dating yourself, or going too far back in your work experience time line. When creating a résumé the best approach is to take a look at what the particular job listing you are considering to apply for and think about what your current career goals are, what previous work experience do you have that is relevant to the position and what is the purpose of applying for the job. The best way to simplify your work experience on your résumé is to: 1.List all work experiences. List all of your jobs starting with the current job. To the list add employment information such as address, telephone number and contact at those jobs. 2.Determine how much experience you have. By examining all of the job titles and the responsibilities from the jobs, you can create categories of work experience and how many years you have. 3.Organize the information. A résumé should be at least two pages long, however since most people have had multiple jobs you want to make sure that the jobs that will go on this particular resume are related to the job posting. Use the summary section of your résumé to highlight other responsibilities that are not listed on the résumé. 4.Use your cover letter wisely. Your cover letter can describe work experience that may not be actually listed on the résumé because you worked at a particular place for a short time period. Your résumé does not have to list every single job you have held, it should reflect any experience and skills relevant to the position you are going after. By structuring your résumé in a manner to simplify your work experience you can highlight the qualities that make you the best candidate. Rosh Hashana, the autumn holiday on the Jewish calendar is near. Rosh Hashana is celebrated by going to the synagogue, refraining from doing work, using symbolism such as food to remind of us the holiday and spending time looking in. In keeping with the introspection theme there are things that you can consciously tap into to make that process easier.
