I think one of the hardest things to do when you are self employed is to take a “paid personal” day.....or is it?
Do you feel yourself being less relaxed as a self employed person or more relaxed. I think the challenge of getting new clients can be daunting, and yet exhilarating at the same time.
Ironically, and mistakenly those who didn't really know me often remarked ”oh it's not always about the money”. After hearing that a few times I realized that there seems to be a mentality paradigm. For me working for myself, I use the same mentality that I had as an employee: do the best that I can, provide a good service, stay focused and motivated to achieve better.
In my opinion it seems that women who work on their bushiness and have definitive goals are viewed differently than men. Or is the belief that a woman who work from home don't have competitive professional positions? Or what? Was my perspective on maintaining a professional only attitude toward my work an out dated point of view? Just wondering what you think. ...please add your comments.
