A Curriculum Vitae is a document that includes multiple documents that highlight your professional history with a focus on your actual achievements in more detail than a resume. Curriculum Vitae is an especially good document for those who are looking for jobs in higher education, research,entrance into graduate and some undergraduate programs. The element that sets this document apart from a resume is that this document allows you to focus on your professional philosophy. The curriculum vitae or CV for short shares a resume format in terms of name, address, objectives, work experience however the two documents differ because the CV focuses intensely on educational achievements and lacks a minimum page length. Those achievements include scholarships you ma have received as a result of scholastic or educational advances, works that you have published, teaching philosophy, and community involvement experiences. Your CV should be written from the perspective of your ability to showcase your commitment and your achievement to your personal goals, your personal philosophies and how you reach them. The format for the actual document is first start off with a summary of your professional goals or objectives. Follow with a list of your achievements starting with your education. To conclude your CV, list your work history that supports your mentioned professional goals. Additional information that can be used in support of your CV includes any studies done abroad,thesis publishing, dissertation, and any languages learned. CVs are usually tailored to industries so to get the best format, you will need to do some research.
